Who we are
BlueTurtleLive ("BlueTurtleLive," "we," "us") provides inventory and sales analytics for independent wine & spirits retailers. This policy covers our website and the BlueTurtleLive service.
What we collect
- Store data from your POS — sales, transactions, inventory levels, and your product catalog, pulled through a connection you authorize.
- Account & store details — the name, email, store name, and POS type you give us when you sign up or contact us.
- Customer records your POS already holds — where features like repeat-customer insights need them. We only ever use what your POS exposes, and it stays inside your store's own database.
- Basic website data — standard technical information needed to serve the site securely. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
How we connect to your POS
BlueTurtleLive connects through a read-only integration. We read your sales, inventory, and transaction records — we can never modify, overwrite, or delete anything inside your POS.
How we store and protect it
Every store gets its own dedicated database — your data is never pooled or stored alongside another store's. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to operating the service for you.
How we use it
Solely to power your BlueTurtleLive dashboard — the briefings, alerts, forecasts, reorder recommendations, and reports you use. That's it.
What we never do
- We never sell your data.
- We never share your identifiable store or customer data with other stores or third parties for their own use.
Anonymized market benchmarks
As we grow, we may build aggregate market benchmarks across our network — combined across many stores so that no individual store's numbers can be identified. You can opt out of being included at any time by emailing [email protected].
Service providers
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers (for hosting, databases, and email) to run the service. They process data only to provide those services to us and are bound to protect it. We do not sell or license your data to them.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while you're using BlueTurtleLive. If you leave — or ask us to at any time — we permanently delete your historical data and connection from our servers on request.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or to opt out of anonymized benchmarks, by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the date above and, for material changes, let you know directly.
